Results Analysis- by André de Vries

Title fights aplenty, the most important the one between Robert Guerrero of the USA and Malcolm Klassen in which Klassen lost the IBF junior lightweight title. South Africa had enjoyed a bit of a monopoly with this title changing hands between Cassius Baloyi, Mzonke Fana and Klassen over the last few years. The World Boxing Foundation titles abound, with no fewer than four WBF title fights taking place in August alone. In all honesty, WBF titles should be regarded in the same light as South African National titles, and no more. The WBF enjoys little
support out of South Africa’s borders, and some of their champions would have difficulty holding down a South African title. Still, we should support any organization that provides opportunities for our boxers to be active.
