The boxing story on everyone lips at the moment is the amazing second round knockout defeat of Manchester’s Ricky Hatton by Manny Pacquiao of the Phileppines. Not a good month for Manchester, with Hatton losing and my favourite soccer team Manchester United losing to Barcelona. Most experts
predicted a win for Pacquiao. I personally thought Pacquiao would win on a late round stoppage. What an upset when he destroyed Hatton faster than the
speed of light.

The fight fans would love to see is the mouth-watering contest between the unbeaten Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao. Should this fight happen later this year my choice would be the heavier “Pretty Boy” Floyd Mayweather to win on points. My reason being, Mayweather has the speed and skill to match the dynamic “Pacman”. This fight will be the biggest grossing money-spinner ever to hit the box office.

I look forward reporting on my inauguration into the International Boxing Hall of Fame at Canastota, New York.
